My husband and I have been trying to have a baby but haven't had any luck. My period has always been irregular what can I do to make it more regular?

In brief: Ovluation induction

You specifically need to get help ovulating.
Be careful, because many of the ways that are used to help women get regular (birth control plls) actually temporarily lower your fertility.

In brief: See Doctor 4 Testing

There are many reasons why the cycles can be irregular and this should be evaluated by your ob/gyn or a reproductive endocrinologist.
Treatment depends on the cause. If your thyroid is underactive-thyroid replacement, if you have pcos- Clomid (clomiphene) may be an option, if your prolactin is elevated- medication can help, etc. Once you understand the cause, then the appropriate remedy can be prescribed.
