Many options exist. There are a great variety of treatment options for anxiety. In general, most people get better with either psychotherapy, anti-anxiety medications, or some combination of both. The approach is very specific to the patient. Some people have no desire to engage in psychotherapy, and choose a meds-only approach. Others are medication averse and choose the opposite. Up to you and your doc to decide.
