Good idea to use chemical peels for acne red marks?

Acne scars difficult. Early acne scars as with pigment changes may show improvement spontaneously or with various treatments such including chemical peels and laser treatments. When the scarring is chronic with fibrosis and contour changes treatment is much more difficult, but typically involves a combination of resurfacing procedures such as dermabrasion or ablative laser, injectable fillers and surgical excision.
Possibly. At your age it is no longer acne, it's rosacea, and a dermatologist could make a good evaluation and treatment plan. Peels may or may not be indicated depending on your akin type. Make an appointment and start healing today!

I've been dealing w really bad acne for about 2mo now. I wash 2x/day & exfoliate every 2-3. Seeing no changes at all. Is a chemical peel a good idea?

Better Idea. Professional consult. Exfoliation/abrasive therapy can actually worsen the outcome. For best therapy assessment of severity of acne, skin type, risk of scarring, discoloration & underlying medical conditions must be considered. Therapy will then target one or more of these factors for the outcome to be satisfactory; abnormal turn over of skin, oil secretion, infection & inflammation etc. Take care. Read more...

I have post inflammatory erythema from healed acne (red marks). What will best treat this? Chemical peels, IVL, microdermabrasion, other? Thank you

How long? How long has it been since acne areas have healed? If within 6 months, time may be all you need. If red areas persist certainly IPL can be beneficial to reduce redness. Laser resurfacing, peels, dermabrasion help for texture irregularities and smooth ance scars and lines. They would likely not be my first choice if you just have redness though. Hope that helps.
