Bedtimes for people vary, but normal stomach emptying rates are fairly standardized at 1-2 hours for liquids and 4-6 hours for solids.
Gastroparesis takes longer. Big and greasy meals take longer to emptying than those made up more of protein and carbohydrates. Lay down on a full stomach puts you at risk for reflux with heartburn, regurgitation, sourbrash, breathing and sinus trouble. Wait!
