I am 5 days late on my period, but received a negative pregnancy yesterday. Could this be due to having the Mirena (levonorgestrel) I for 5years?

Could be. Mirena (levonorgestrel) causes light or irregular bleeding, but if it has been in for 5 years there is probably not going to be a _new_ change from the Mirena (levonorgestrel). Most likely you didn't ovulate this last month. If this is the first month you are having the problem, I would just wait a few months and see if it resolves. If it doesn't, check with your doctor, preferably an OB/GYN. Read more...

Had Mirena (levonorgestrel) removed 3 mo ago. Started period a week early, lasted only 3 days, could I be pregnant. HPT neg, should I have a blood test?

No. Pregnancy test done accurately are quite precise. Also, if your period was normal in quantity, flow and number of days then it is OK. The Mirena (levonorgestrel) IUD works by changing the quality and thickness of your uterine lining. Your body is recovering from some of these hormonal changes and it is most likely normal to have a period 1 week early. Take care! Read more...
