What can you take for laryngitis?

Laryngitis. Most of the time, laryngitis is caused by a virus, the same as head colds. Symptoms last 3 - 10 days, and will clear with time. If symptoms don't' clear, suspect an irritant such as acid reflux or a secondary bacterial infection. Go see your doctor, if symptoms don't clear by 10 days.
Laryngitis. Depends on the cause of the laryngitis and the severity of the problem. There are many conditions that can cause a laryngitis some of which are more serious than others. Laryngitis in a youngster can be very troubling as swelling and irritation can tend to close off the airway. Severe cases need emergency care. See your doctor if this condition is a problem for you.
