Taking phenrgan for viral inner ear infection. Does that help with dizziness or should I be taking something else? Other things do to help?

In brief: Could be useful.

Phenergan (promethazine) is an antihistamine-antinausea medication.
Rx Antivert or otc Meclizine have also found to be effective for the vertigo associated with inner ear maladies. These are anti-motion sickness medications. Also available is otc dramamine or dimenhydrinate which may prove useful, too. However, please see your otolaryngologist if symptoms do not improve quickly. Beware of an acoustic neuroma.
