In brief: Depends

I recommend smart mouth, and crest pro health for gingivitis.
Listerine only for short term use due to alcohol content. Phosphlur is a good flouride rinse.

In brief: Fluoride mouthwash

Fluoride mouthwashes help make your teeth more acid resistant and thus help prevent cavities.
There are several brands that make versions that contain fluoride. These include: ACT, Fuoriguard, and Listerine Total. Fluoride mouthwashes are recommended for every patient who has braces, Invisalign, or clear retainers.

In brief: Mouthwash recommend

I would suggest staying away from any mouthwash that contains alcohol as this dries the gums.
Would recommend mouthwashes containing Xylitol as this hampers bacterial that can cause tooth decay or gum disease here is a link on it https://www.xylitolpreventscavities.com/products/xylitol-rinse-mouthwash.html

In brief: Mouthwash

Brushing eliminates about 70% of dental plaque (bacteria).
Flossing or Water Pic about 30%. And mouthwash about 1% at best. Most mouthwash is water, flavoring, and a small amount of alcohol. Unless mouthwash contains xylitol or preferably fluoride, don't waste your money.

In brief: Depends on needs

If you are prone to cavities i recommend a mouthwash with Fluoride such as act or ctx3 rinse from carifree.
You can order online at carifree.Com. If you just need a good otc antimicrobial rinse to kill germs i recommend listerine antiseptic mouth rinse. If that is too strong there is a non-alcohol version of it.

In brief: ADA Seal

Mouthwashes can brighten your teeth, fight gingivitis and help loosen plaque before brushing.
Look for mouthwashes that have the american dental association stamp of approval on the label and you can't go wrong. Children under the age of 12 years should only use mouthwashes made for children.
