In brief: Dementia care
Dementia is treated by supportive care mainly.
Medicines may help decrease progression of the disease, but dementia being degenerative disease it will progress over time. Earlier diagnosis is the key to create better treatment plan and education of care taker so that most of our seniors with dementia can stay in community and not in long term nursing homes. 36 hr day is a great book to read.
