In brief: Inflammation

Esr and CRP levels indicate inflammation.
It could be a connective tissue ailment other than fibromyalgia. Also it could be from teeth and gum disease (periodontal infection) and sinusitis which require treatment. Try a healthy diet with many colorful fruit and vegetables, whole grain, non fat dairy and fish while avoiding meat and concentrated sweets .This along with aerobic exercise helps.

In brief: No

Fibromyalgia is normally not associated with elevated ESR or crp.
But elevated esr/ CRP are nonspecific and can easily happen in someone with fibromyalgia. Any concurrent acute infection or inflammation can be the cause. But if the numbers are very high, you may have an autoimmune disease and may have been misdiagnosed. Hope not.
