In brief: CT

A stone is a very common finding and often is not associated with symptoms.
Swelling of the adrenal gland is usually benign and called adrenal hyperplasia. Some endocrine diseases can be associated with adrenal hyperplasia but they are not common.

In brief: Needs followup

An enlarged adrenal gland, or small nodules in the adrenal gland can be seen fairly commonly on ct scans of the abdomen.
Most small nodules are benign. You want to get a hormonal evaluation to see if there is overproduction by the adrenal glands. If this is negative, one usually has a followup ct scan in 3-6 months to see if there has been any change.
