See your doctor. Your symptoms could be due to any number of things, from carpal tunnel syndrome to tendonitis, a nerve problem or maybe even a temporary pain from bad arm positioning during sleep. I have knee, ankle, wrist stiffness pain, tingling been to a neuro who says it isn't neurological and refer me to an ortho/rheu idk what it could be?

Joint and/or paresth. this could be joint, this could be paresthesia, could be myofascial pain, and the fact that it's not neurologic makes it more likely to be paresthesia. We can see this in a variety of settings including fibromyalgia. You need to discuss this with your physician and see a rheumatologist to help clarify if it's joint, paresthesia or a combination. My left hand and arm have been going numb, with shoulder and neck stiffness in morning. Previously tested positive for Anti dsDNA. Gp thinks nothing?

Need more evaluation. Numbness may be nerve-related and you may need neurology evaluation. It may be metabolic, like thyroid or sugar. It may be mental, like anxiety disorder. Positive anti-dsDNA antibody test may indicate an autoimmune disease such as lupus. You need to see a rheumatologist for further testing to confirm this or remove this as a possible cause. What could my night wrist pain be? I have pain in my wrist that I only experience while sleeping (it wakes me) but I feel wrist stiffness throughout the entire day. I'm 23 years old and in good health. What could this be?

This . This sounds possibly like a condition called carpal tunnel syndrome. There is a nerve that runs through your wrist called the median nerve. When the tendons and ligaments around the nerve become inflammed or compressed they can press on this nerve and cause pain in the wrist and/or hand. This condition is common in people who use their hands frquently throughout the day( i.E musicians, mechanics, people who write or use computers frquently etc.) through a history a directed physical your doctor will be able to diagnose this or another problem and provide appropriate treatment. In the meantime you can buy a wrist splint and wear it at night while sleeping, take over the counter anti-inflammatory medications, and stretching your wrist in the morning before getting out of bed. Good luck! Read more...
