Nail fungus answers. Nail fungus (both finger- and toe-nail) is caused most often by fungal organisms that like skin, also known as dermatophytes. It is less commonly caused by yeasts. It takes a long time to treat it, but it can be successfully and safely resolved with both medicines by mouth and specialized lasers. These 2 may be combined in difficult cases, and topical medicines may also be needed.
Fungus. Pathogens that cause human illness typically fall into three categories: bacterial, viral or fungal. A fungus infection is an illness that results from a fungal pathogen.

How can I cure finger nail fungus of the right hand? Ichecked on the internet, but it only speaks of possiblecures for toenail fungus. Are there any home remedies for it?
Not particularly. There are many purported home remedies but a fungal nail infeciton requires oral anti-fungal medication. First you need a proper diagnosis and then treatment. The teatment for finger nail fungus is the same as toe nail fungus only shorter. Many things mimic nail fungus and is not fungus. Bacterial infections can do this. See a dermatologist and get a proper diagnosis and proper treatment.
No home remedies. Unfortunately, there are no home remedies that work. The same things that treat toenail fungus will also treat nails on the hand.
Nail fungus. Is nail fungus. Any manner suitable for the toe would be suitable for a fingernail. Fingernail fungus is a little easier to treat as it is not subject to the dark, moist environment of a sock and shoe.
Vinegar, bleach. Treatment for fingernail fungus is similar to toenail fungus: topical or oral antifungals, lasers. Vinegar soaks, bleach, tea tree oil are home remedies.

What can I do to cure my dark finger nails which I was told that it was not a nail fungus just genics from a derma.........?
Not much. Toenails and fingernails that are darkened due to genetics are pretty much going to stay that way. Not much can be done to lighten them. Make sure you don't have fungus. Some people have tried laser therapy but results are minimal.
Will nail fungus be all over my bed sheets, etc My ob doc say I have nail fungus But the ER doc. Says it might not be because I slammed finger w/ door
Both could be right. Trauma to the nail root can either temporarily or permanently cause a distortion of the nail plate. This distortion can often mimic a fungal nail infection. Having a fingernail that has a fungal infection is not as common as a toenail, especially on a 23 year old. You can settle the dilemma by having the nail tested for fungal spores.
