Is it ok to smoke while on Coumadin after being diagnosed with pulmonary embolism? Just until my severe anxiety goes away(started Paxil (paroxetine) for anxiety).

In brief: Horrible idea

Smoking increases your risk of further clot, and makes your pulmonary sx worse.
Please stop.

In brief: No!

Unfortunately smoking increases the risk of thrombosis.
Despite being on coumadin, you want to minimize anything that could cause a recurrent clot. If you need additional medications on top of Paxil (paroxetine) for anxiety, let your doctor know. They should be able to help you through this tough time.
