In brief: Yes

For some taking probiotics while on antibiotics can lower the risk of antibiotic associated diarrhea.
It would certainly be appropriate to continue probiotics for a few weeks after the antibiotics to help recolonize the gut with good bacteria. If you need a specific brand, align is a good daily over the counter probiotic.

In brief: Absolutely!

Probiotics can be taken along with antibiotics; in fact, probiotics may be extremely helpful in preventing antibiotic induced diarrhea.
There are myriad brands of probiotics--we doctors are still fine tuning our knowledge as to which ones work best for what malady. So, just to be safe, consult your doctor as to which particular probiotic you should take. Not all probiotics are created equal.
