I'm constantly itchy so I know I have scabies, im currently putting on permethrin cream, other than that what can be done to stop the itching?

See a dermatologist. Do you have some other reason to think it is scabies? There are thousands of possible causes for itch. If your itch is not scabies then permethrin will not help, may even irritate skin. Successful treatment requires that you first identify, if possible, the cause. Benadryl (diphenhydramine) is a sleeping pill which may help itch only by sedation, therefor is not safe if you drive a car.
Benedryl... Scabies is not the only condition that can cause itching. If the cause of itching has not been medically assessed, than recommend derm evaluation. An over the counter antihistimine like Diphenhydramine (benadryl) taken as directed on the package labeling can be very helpful in this situation. However, if you have pain, local warmth, tenderness or fever you should be re-evaluated by your physician.
Another cause? Maybe it is not scabies. It could be an allergic reaction (new soap or detergent?). I would see my pcp.
Pruritis. Antihistamines such as Diphenhydramine (benadryl), corticosteroids such as Hydrocortisone topical cream, local anesthetics such as Benzocaine topical cream (lanacaine) or counterirritants, such as mint oil, menthol, or camphor can all be utilized.
