In brief: May need steroids

Sometimes after a cold the nose can become inflamed.
This inflammation can then lead to difficulty with your sense of smell. If you can get to an ear nose and throat doctor you can have your nose looked at to make sure there are no polyps. A course of steroids may be of help.

In brief: ? zinc

If you used a zinc nasal spray or nasal gel, such as zicam, it may interfere with your sense of smell.
