Depersonalization. Feeling like you are standing outside yourself - as if watching another person - can occur with panic disorder. Other causes include: hypoglycemia, low blood pressure, medications, other anxiety disorders, stress, borderline personality disorder, narcolepsy, depression, migraine headaches, seizures (temporal lobe type), recreational drug use, and sleep deprivation. Treat underlying cause.
Seek help. This may be panic disorder. If so, it is treatable with psychotherapy and possibly medications.
