Hi my father is 60 years old he is heart patient he had heart surgery ten years back now he has diagnosed hapatitis c. What prevention he should take?

Get checked. He may have acquired hepatitis c during heart surgery, and these older patients have a higher risk of liver damage. He needs to be checked to see how much scarring he has. He also needs to find out his genotype, which helps predict success of treatment. Until then, avoid alcohol, check hepatitis a and b status, don't share personal items that may contain blood (like shaving materials).
Hep C precautions. Your dad will need to take precautions regarding hep c which can be transmitted through body fluids exchange, but not by skin contact. He will benefit from monitoring his liver and the virus with his GI doc. There are support groups and many patients who do well with hep c.
