Is it okay to take Advil (ibuprofen) and percocet together?

Yes. This combination may be very effective on a short-term basis, such as treating pain due to surgery or fracture.
Sold as Combunox. It is in fact sold that way as a product called combunox. Combunox however has no Acetaminophen just oxycodone and ibuprofen.
It's ok. It is ok to do so, but of your medicine is not adequately taking care of your pain, tell your doctor so that they may adjust your pain meds appropriately.

Is it a good idea to take percocet and Advil (ibuprofen) together?

Simplify regimen. Ideally you should take only one analgesic at a time. Percocet is a combination of oxycodone and tylenol (acetaminophen). Advil is ibuprofen, a different medication.Try to use as little Percocet as possible and only if you really need it for severe pain to avoid dependence and tolerance. If the pain is milder and you do not suffer from ulcers, kidney disease or are in anticoagulants, it is ok to use advil instead. Read more...

Hi I'm taking Percocet forms herniated lumbar disc. I'm having & am wondering if it's ok to take Advil (ibuprofen) 800 mg along side Percocet?

No drug interactions. There are no drug interactions between these two medications. However, please be aware that Advil (ibuprofen) is an aspirin based medication, and the more you take, the greater the risk of GI side-effects like stomach ulcers, etc . . . Since you are being prescribed percocet already, please contact your doctor, to inform him/her of your desire to add Advil (ibuprofen)--to be sure that they are in agreement. Good luck. Read more...

Which is better for body in long run for managing severe cramps with endo: round clock800 mg advil (ibuprofen) or OCCASIONAL percocet replacing several advil (ibuprofen)?

Hard to say. There are risks for both approaches. The risk of using controlled substances seems greater and I usually recommend the 800 mg advil (ibuprofen) three times a day for the duration of the menstrual cycle. If this is longer than 1 week each month then further consideration should be given to the regimen. Read more...
