In brief: Biceps strain
Start with relative rest and ice.
When pain subsides, gradual strengthening. The biceps muscle does 2 things: helps bend the elbow and also rotates your forearm to allow you to turn your palm facing up. Gradual, progressive resistance with light hand weights or elastic bands works great.

In brief: Rest first
What's unique about the biceps muscle is that the tendon can rupture it is overstressed.
I would rest and take anti-inflammatories first then start rehab exercises slowly.
