In brief: Not so fast now

First check with your doctor, do you really need to gain weight? Do you have a metabolic problem like grave's disease or malabsorbtion keeping you from it? If everything checks out, a healthy diet and exercize program including weights to build muscle bulk is the way to go.
Eating high calorie fatty foods to get "fatter" will just set you up later. Try to get access to a trainer and a dietician.

In brief: Diet and muscle mass

To gain weight you have to consume more calories than you are burning.
Do this in a healthy way though. Don't choose junk or fast food. Keep a well balanced diet and make sure you are getting all the nutrients you need. Don't cut out exercise as it is very good for you. Weight lifting and other muscle building exercises can help you increase your body mass.
