If you do not breast feed then a period usually occurs 6-8 weeks after delivery.
If you breast feed you may not get a period for more than 6 mo depending upon how long you breast fieed and if you supplement.

If you breast feed, you may not cycle until you quit nursing.
If you are not breastfeeding and had regular normal cycles before your pregnancy, you will probably start to cycle between 2 weeks and 6 months after delivery.. If you were not regular before the pregnancy, you may not be after either.
