How long does it take to surgically remove a chalazion on a 16 month old? How long will she be out?

Chalazion in a child. One may consider injecting kenalog (triamcinolone) (steroid suspension) into the lesion before consider surgical excision. Injection can be performed under sedation without having put the infant to general anesthesia.
10-15 minutes. These can be done in 10-15 minutes (at least when I do them).
Very brief. Surgery is brief (less than 5 minutes). The anesthesia component will take longer (putting to sleep and waking up).
