Can 7 seizures cause more brain damage for one in comatose stage also diabetic and on dialysis was without oxygen 5 min?

Seizures are not... Seizures are generally not causing a problem. They are the result of a problem. A brain starts to get damage after about 2 minutes without air (oxygen). The brain is already damaged after 5 minutes. The coma, seizures, and other signs of brain damage just reveal the extent of the damage, but are not causing the problem. The problem, unfortunately, already happened.
See below. It is more likely the seizures are a result of anoxic , lack of oxygen and the uremic state ie being on dialysis makes it more susscepible to seizures.

Prognosis guarded. Very sorry to hear about your niece. Anoxic brain injuries are very serious and often permanent . Given her persistent comatose state the injury is likely very serious unless the physicians are keeping her in a medically induced coma (with IV medication) without knowing the specifics of her case and her imaging it is hard to say how much permanent damage there is. Hypoxic encephal. The hypoxia has likely resulted a secondary brain injury, and depending on age, the extent of recovery will be unknown for some time. The seizures are not unexpected and will need control, but likely not to be a long-term challenge. Have a neurology consult, provide supportive care, and hope for the best. Read more...
