I am a dentist ask about problem of tongue biting while speaking after bridge construction in molar area. May it due to improper closing (open bite)?

Contour My Vote... Xlnt question! if ur patient is biting tongue now and did not before, something about the new fpd is impinging. Go back and look @ ur temps if pt was comfortable in them. Maybe lab built brg in conventional occlusion and needs to be in x/bite somewhere. If u can't get perm. Contoured like temps. Get pt back into the temps to stop tongue biting, take impr'n of temps and send to lab w/ perm brg. G/l.
Possibly. It could be your bite, the contour of your new bridge, or simply getting used to the new situation. Either way, see your dentist.
