I broke my jaw 8 years ago and I still sometimes get pieces of bone that work their way through NT funds. Is this normal? What should I do?

In brief: Fractured Jaw
It is not normal to have bone fragments extrude through skin or gums.
You need to be evaluated by a facial reconstructive or oral surgeon.

In brief: Bone in Mouth
If bone is working its way out, this mean the bone is not fully healed, and likely infected, especially if the trauma occurred 8 years ago.
Go see an oral surgeon or an ENT surgeon or a plastic surgery who treats facial trauma.
