In brief: What's the cause

Cellulitis is basically a visible inflammation (itis) of the skin and soft tissues (red, hot, swollen and tender) .
It can be caused by many things including sunburn (radiation), trauma (sprained ankle) or poor vein circulation (stasis dermatitis). It need not be caused by bacteria. If you have repeated episodes of this, get to a wound care or vascular specialist, the diagnoses you have is wrong.

In brief: Infection

Skin infection- usually treated with antibiotics.
Typically bacterial in origin-may be from a break in the skin, or sometimes underlying infections. Basic good nutrition with adequate protein intake would be advised.

In brief: Infection

Cellulitis is due to infection of skin and tissues under the skin by bacteria.
It usually spreads from an infection started with a break in the skin. Diabetes and obesity are two main predisposing conditions. No foods, other those needed to control diabetes, are relevant. Treatment is with prescription antibiotics.
