1 doctor agrees
In brief: Could be other cause
If a woman suspects she is pregnant but has a negative pregnancy test or cannot test at home, she should see her physician.
Then the doctor can order a sensitive blood pregnancy test, perform an internal pelvic exam, order an ultrasound study, if needed. Obgyn doctor can tell a woman the results quickly and may ask her to call back or refer to another doctor (eg, GI for bowel) if concerns persist.
