Need exam with doc. The history is important here- is the blood on the toilet paper or in the water? Maybe hemorrhoids. Painful? Could be fissure. Is blood mixed into the stool? More worrisome- maybe inflammatory bowel disease or cancer. See a colorectal surgeon for a proper history and physical exam.
Hemocult +. It means there are red blood cells coming from someplace in the GI tract. If the pt has not seen fresh blood during bowel movements then the blood comes from higher above...Stomach, duodenum, small intestine or proximal colon. Black stools or coffe ground suggest blood from upper parts. Fresh bright red blood coming from rectum suggest a bleeding from lower parts: hemorroids, diverticulosis, uc.
Several things. Anal irritation can be from many things. Simple proctitis can be from poor hygiene. One can have parasites (worms) that cause irritation, hemorrhoids both intrernal and external, prolapse of the rectum will cause this. There are inflammatory bowel disorders to cause this. An anal fissure (tear) can do this. Constipation can cause this as well as diarrhea. If worrisome, see pcp.
See your doctor. Could be hemorrhoids, irritation from wiping too hard, or not cleaning well enough, infection, a fissure.......so see your doctor to determine the cause.
2 months ago I got sores on anus, pain and blood in stool. They went away after a week but I'm still suffering from itchy and irritated anus.?
Hemorrhoids. You likely have external hemorrhoids. Try any over the counter hemorrhoid cream for relief. If it does not get better in a couple of weeks, it would be prudent to see your doctor. For good health - Have a diet rich in fresh vegetables, fruits, whole grains, low fat milk and milk products, nuts, beans, legumes, lentils and small amounts of lean meats. Avoid saturated fats. Exercise at least 150 minutes/week and increase the intensity of exercise gradually. Do not use tobacco, alcohol, weed or street drugs in any form. Practice safe sex. Get HPV vaccine.
Blood in stool. I'm 22 years old. I noticed red blood in stool for 2 days 2 years ago but it disappeared. Now happened againpainful like needle in anal!
Anal fissure. Likely there is a tear in the lining of the anus that causes the pain during bowel movements. It can give you a little blood on the toilet tissue ora few drops of blood on the bowl or the outside of the stool. The tear can happen if you have large stool, constipation or repeated diarrhea etc. Inflammatory bowel disease has to be ruled out as well. Go to see your doctor to get it checked.
Have it checked. You are very young so the possibility of cancer is low. Nonetheless, blood in the stool is never normal so I suggest you visit your family doc and see if he thinks a GI visit is necessary. Hopefully is nothing more than a hemorrhoid or a fissure.
A month ago I had painful cuts on my anus, blood in stool, and pain when going to the bathroom. Cuts went away but still anal discharge causing itch?
Itching, fissure. Fissures are very painful and cause pain and bright bleeding but 90 percent heal completely without much intervention. During the last stage of healing the itching can become intense. Fissures can cause some moisture and leakage which burns and damages the perianal skin. Cleaning with tap water (avoid cleansing pads), and using a protective paste (Calmoseptine) daily after BMs helps.
I had anal fissure diagnosed after colonoscopy about 4 years back. Reason 4 procedure: 1-time blood in stool. Ok since, but anything I need to do now?
Stool soft. Make sure that you do not get constipation and that stools stay soft. That can be accompli she by eating 20-30 grams of fiber a day and plenty of water.
NO. Not sure I fully understand your question. If you are having no symptoms from your fissure that was found a year ago, then there is nothing else to do. It sounds like it has already healed.
Not yet. Likely anal fissure/ hemorrhoidal bleed due to constipation. Stay well hydrated, increase the amount of fruit and vegetables in your diet. If symptoms persist or get worse, abdominal pain, etc let your doc know.
Does anal fissure or what disease cause headaches / Stress / loss appetite / itchy after stool / sometimes blood in stool / stressing out about it?
Different conditions. An anal fissure or hemorrhoids can cause blood in stool and anal pruritus or itchiness. The headaches and stress may be due to a different condition. A possible link would be through a degree of anemia if the rectal bleed has been going on for a while. Stress is the disease of the century and lifestyle changes are usually necessary. Talk to your doc about your symptoms at next visit.
