Often times chronic sinusitis can produce pain around or behind the eyes.
In advanced conditions the infection can spread to the retro orbital structures which could lead to orbital cellulitis that could be vision threatening

I would add that sinusitis is almost always associated with nasal congestion and nasal discharge and sometimes a fever. In the absence of associated symptoms other diagnoses besides sinusitis need to be considered.
