Buddy splinting the toe, meaning taping the toe its neighbor for stability and support. Go to www.eastpennfoot.com for more information.

In brief: Taping and protect
Buddy taping is often sufficient.
Sometimes a stiff soled shoe or at least one with a stiff toe can be helpful. If there is obvious deformity then see an orthopaedist.

When treating a fracture toe it is important to see a specialist such as a podiatrist to treat this problem. A fracture toe can be simply treated by tapping the toe to the one next to it.
If you do have a fractured toe i would still recommend seeking medical advice by a podiatrist because if not treated correctly it can lead to problems down the road such as arthritis and deformed toes.
