In brief: Allergic to smoke

It all depends by what you mean "having an allergic reaction".
While tobacco smoke does contain many different chemicals, it is very unusual to have a true ige mediated allergic reaction. It would not be uncommon for a patient to experience chest tightness or difficulty breathing after inhalation or exposure but that does not typically constitute an allergic reaction.
