In brief: Well balanced diet

Just as in everyday life, one shoud eat fruits, veggies, lean protein like chicken/turkey breast or fish (not sushi) and multigrain bread and perhaps brown rice and black beans.
To make sure that you have the Folic Acid and dha on board you can also take an over- the-counter prenatal vitamin with dha in it. Avoid tobacco, alcohol, and drugs. Regular exercise 45 min daily is also recommended.
