In brief: Think of contactants
Of course there are many causes of peeling skin but if just in one area maybe it is a "contact" allergy.
..Like to makeup , soap etc.

In brief: Seborrhea
Could be seborrheic dermatitis which causes scaling on nose and inner cheeks.
Hydrocortisone cream and or antifungal creams can help. If there is runny nose or sneezing there could be inhalant allergy which can be evaluated with scratch tests by allergist.
