In brief: Rarely

Please find out how the diagnosis was made.
If the whole mass has been removed, you should be fine.

If a cancer is found within a dermoid cyst, the pathologist will make a clear and obvious report of it to the surgeon.

In brief: Dermoid Cysts

Dermoid ovarian cysts are benign; your lesion should have been thoroughly examined by a pathologist to rule out any hidden cancer, which very rarely can be found "hiding" in such cysts, but if the report indicated a dermis cyst, you are clear.
