Is there any way to teach myself to breastfeed?

2 doctors agree
In brief: 1. Give birth.
2. Put baby to breast.
3. Put nipple on top of (not under) baby's tongue. 4. Sit back and watch baby do all the work. 5. Pull baby off breast when done (baby is probably asleep by then). 6. Burp baby -- this is the hardest part, and is best taught by experienced operators in person.

In brief: YES - breastfeed
Not to sound silly, but to quote nike, just do it.
There really is nothing in life that gets you ready for this action. You simply just need to do it, do it often and dont quit on yourself. No sugar coating, it will be very hard for most on the second, third and fourth day. Then things get better, you get better and by two weeks you will be a pro. Dedicate yourself and get at it and your fine.
