In brief: Big Tonsils
Enlarged tonsils may cause voice changes and blockage of airflow during sleep.
Most of the time, the swelling goes down after an infection. If just one of your tonsils is enlarged, go see your doctor. Unless there are other problems, generally no treatment is necessary for enlarged tonsils. Not sure? Go see an ent.
