My 16 year old son had expressed his worry that his right testicle is changeing from large to small and vice versa on a regular basis, reason to worry?

In brief: Probably a hydrocele

Your son probably means that the right side of his scrotum is intermittently enlarging.
This would most likely be due to a hydrocele which can easily be repaired by a urologist. Dangerous testicular swellings, due to tumors, are hard, and do not get smaller.
