I have oa in my hip. Mobic (meloxicam) is not controlling stiffness and pain all day. Would 7.5 twice a day be better than 15 mg to keep med in system longer?

In brief: Possibly

The higher Meloxicam dose may be more effective.
If the arthritis in your hip is severe, hip replacement may be the best option.

In brief: Typically no

Mobic generally works well as a once a day dose.
Ask your doctor if you can supplement with tylenol (acetaminophen) or prescription tramadol as needed to give you better pain control.
