Is thirteen year old daughter to young to do yoga and/or pilates?

No. A 13 year old girl is not too young to begin hatha yoga or pilates mat work. However, the young aspirant should take a class where her attempts are observed by a teacher, so that she does not develop bad habits or unknowingly be too aggressive in her pursuit of learning.
