If no over-the-counter sleep aid works and exercise doesn't work what can I do to help me go to sleep?

In brief: Bedtime rituals
Do relaxing things before going to bed.
Don't exercise within 2-3 hours of bedtime. Keep tv and computer out of bedroom. Room should be dark and cool. Avoid caffeine and alcohol. If you tend to worry, learn some relaxation exercises. If you can't fall asleep, don't stay in bed more than 30 minutes. Get up, do something relaxing, and go to bed when you get sleepy. If nothing works, talk to doctor.
