Low glycemic diet. A low glycemic diet is the healthiest diet. This is basically a diet low in refined carbohydrates and processed foods; a diet high in fresh vegetables, some fruits and lean protein. You still have to pay attention to total caloric intake because although you want to take in "good calories", too many calories can cause weight gain. You also have to get moving! even just walking every day will help.
Diet and exercise. There are no short cuts...Regular exerecise coupled with moderate exercicse is the best way to achieve weight loss.
To lose weight. To lose weight insure that calories burned > calories consumed. Drink at least 8 - 8 oz glasses of water per day. Try for 8 hours of sleep/night. Aim for at least 5 servings of vegetables & 4 servings of fruit per day. Use whole grain when possible. Avoid sodas, alcohol & junk carbohydrates.
