What is the the approx recovery time following excision of os vesaslianum? As far as I know there was no tendon repair, bone was in the fatty tissue.

Fairly rapid. It is good that there is no tendon repair, however, this accessory bone lies with in the peroneus brevis tendon and it must be cut to remove this bone. Most of the time a small anchor is placed in the 5th met base and tied into the tendon to maintain strength and rapid healing. It is unusual that this bone sits in fatty tissue. Be prepared for at least 4-6 weeks of walking with a boot.
