In brief: Something not right

No amount of blood in stool is ok.
Most often it is hemorrhoids or a fissure, but more serious inflammation of the colon, polyps, benign tumors, and cancer can also be the cause as well as upper GI problems such as gastritis or an ulcer. All bleeding in the stool must be properly evalauated and the quicker the better.

In brief: See your doctor

This can be the result of many things including hemorrhoids, a fissure, a tear, recent constipation, or colon cancer.
Other diseases can also cause blood in the stool. Regardless, if this is new and continues for more than 1 or 2 bowel movements, see a doctor soon to get evaluated.
