I have diabetes and my blood sugar is at 44 and I feel bad. What should I do?

Eat something! A blood sugar below 60 is too low. This may be due to a drug program that is too strong or missing a meal. Patients on Insulin are more at risk for low sugar (hypoglycemia). Older patients may experience hypoglycemia from a drug called glyburide. You should have a rapid acting sugar product for emergencies. Check at your pharmacy for instant glucose in a tube which can be squirted in your mouth.
Sorry. I cannot read your number. If it is 77, perhaps you should see your doctor for a medication adjustment. Even though this is not tremendously low, some folks do feel poorly when their sugar is this low.
