In brief: Heart problem?

Why someone adviced you to sleep "up".
Did you have a stroke? Do you have gerd ( reflux).? The brain gets better fluid return when the legs are elevated. To sleep in an upright position ( near to sitting)is recommended for pts with nasal obstruction, and serious disorders like pulmonary edema with orthopnea or paroxistic nocturnal dyspnea ( congestive heart failure).
