According to my 23andme I have elevated risk for type 2 diabetes. However, based on style of life's questionnaires, my risk is very low. What to do?

In brief: Keep watching

Even with the best lifestyle choices, sometimes genetics still determine things like high blood pressure, high cholesterol, or diabetes.
However, with good choices (excercise, avoiding obesity, healthy eating, not smoking, etc) these can often be delayed, prevented, or at least treated more easily. Have your labs and BP checked regularly, but keep making good choices!

In brief: Blood sugar test

The only way to tell if you have type 2 diabetes is to have formal blood tests.
Just which ones are up to your doctor but i usually like a fasting and two hour post-prandial sugar and an hgba1c.
