In brief: It's good

If PDD is progressive developmental delay, and you have a happy communicative child, don't let labels interfere with your enjoyment of your baby's growth and development! all kids develop at different rates, and even though some children develop outside of the bell shaped curve, the prognosis is good if you spend a lot of loving time with them.

In brief: Should do well

Pdd (pervasive developmental delay) describes a nonspecific delay in a wide range of developmental domains.
It is not progressive by definition. A progressive entity would follow under a more specific lable/dx. With help & encouragement high functioning kids are often able to live independently as adults, hold productive positions and blend in with the masses.
