In brief: Not by itself

Hirsuitism is not dangerous, but you may want to ask your doctor why.
For example, a hormonal or thyroid problem may need treatment. Pcos (polycystic ovarian syndrome) is another example - the hirsuitism it can cause is not in itself dangerous, but associated findings like weight gain and high sugars are. Ask your doctor; they may choose to run some tests to be sure.

In brief: Hirsutism

Some causes can be.
These would include tumors of the ovary, or adrenal glands. Cystic ovaries can rupture and lead to infertility. Luckily all of these are pretty rare to occur.

In brief: Hirsuitism

Excessive hair in a woman usually indicates a hormonal imabalance.
The question is what is producing the excessive hormones and that should be worked up by an endocrinologist. Certain glands can be overactive or the organs may be more sensitiive to the hormones or there can be tumors, benign and malignant that secrete hormones. Please see a doctor that will evaluate your condition.
